One former member of the Pittsburgh Steelers is looking to get another opportunity in the National Football League.
Former Steelers receiver Martavis Bryant hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2018 season but is looking to make a comeback and reportedly is working out with the Washington Commanders, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
“Sources: Free agent (wide receiver) Martavis Bryant is working out for the Commanders Tuesday,” Schultz said. “This will be his second visit in recent months with Washington.”
Bryant was selected in the fourth round of the 2014 National Football League Draft by the Steelers and played in parts of four seasons with Pittsburgh and the Las Vegas Raiders. He was suspended for the 2016 season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He was suspended again in 2018 for violating the terms of his conditional reinstatement.
He hasn’t played in an NFL game since 2018 but has professional football ties to the Toronto Argonauts, Massachusetts Pirates, Edmonton Elks, Vegas Vipers, and was on the Dallas Cowboy’s practice squad in 2023.

Bryant is just 32 years old and could have something left in the tank. Hopefully his workout goes well and he gets another shot.
