One former member of the Pittsburgh Steelers is looking for a new home.

The 2024 National Football League season is just about here and there surely will be plenty of movement across the league in the coming weeks. Teams will have to start trimming down rosters and the New England Patriots already have gotten started by reportedly cutting former Steelers Pro Bowler JuJu Smith-Schuster, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

“Source: The #Patriots are releasing (Wide Receiver) JuJu Smith-Schuster,” Rapoport said. “While a surprise, this move does give Smith-Schuster the chance to sign somewhere before the season.”

Smith-Schuster was selected in the second round of the 2017 National Football League Draft by the Steelers and began his NFL career with the team that same year. He spent the first five seasons of his professional career in Pittsburgh and earned his lone Pro Bowl nod as a member of the Steelers.

The 27-year-old joined the Kansas City Chiefs ahead of the 2022 season and won a Super Bowl and joined the Patriots ahead of the 2023 season and struggled.

He now will join the open market and look for his next team. Pittsburgh has been linked to a handful of receivers and it wouldn’t be the craziest thing in the world to reunite with Smith-Schuster. He had the best years of his career in Pittsburgh and could help add another boost to the Steelers’ offense at a low cost. Why not consider a reunion?
