The Pittsburgh Steelers sound like a team that is looking to make a move.
Pittsburgh had a solid offseason and now is in a position to have a much better season in 2024 than it did last year. The Steelers were solid last year with 10 wins but should be better with either Russell Wilson or Justin Fields under center.
The Steelers also made some other additions and it sounds like they may not be done adding. Some have speculated that the Steelers could use a new receiver to pair with George Pickens and have linked the club to San Francisco 49ers star Brandon Aiyuk.
It seems like Aiyuk is going to be traded and speculation has been swirling about the Steelers’ involvement in trade talks. It seemed like the Steelers were out of the sweepstakes, but Pittsburgh reportedly “re-engaged” San Francisco about a possible blockbuster deal on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
“Steelers and 49ers re-engaged in conversations mid-day today regarding Brandon Aiyuk, per league sources,” Schefter said. “As of Monday night, the 49ers-Steelers talks stalled. But there have been further conversations today in an ever-fluid situation that still involves other teams as well.”

There has been chatter for months about how Aiyuk could help the Steelers’ offense. He has been looking for a new contract and it doesn’t seem like he’s going to get what he wants from the 49ers. He would be a perfect option to add another game-changer to the Steelers’ lineup but it’s unclear if a move actually is realistic at this point.
