The Pittsburgh Steelers will take part in the upcoming AFC North edition of “Hard Knocks: In Season” and not everyone on the team is happy about the decision.
HBO and NFL Films announced on June 17 that the Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cleveland Browns will take part in the upcoming season/ It will be the second season of the in-season series, taking you behind the curtain of NFL teams as they go through the grueling 18-game campaign and the playoffs.
With Pittsburgh set to take part, you can imagine that not everyone is thrilled about having to let their season be watched close up by cameras for television.
One of the players who aren’t thrilled about the decision is none other than Steelers captain Cameron Heyward, who cited his displeasure on his podcast “Not Just Football with Cam Heyward.”
“I hated it,” Heyward said on his podcast. “I don’t want to be on this. My wife’s going to be like ‘man, you really love your job.’ The locker room is the locker room. I just don’t want that getting messed up. There’s so many inside jokes. You would assume everybody is a jerk if you heard everything but it comes from a loving place and it comes from a caring place. We all want to get better and we joke a lot. We poke and prod at each other. But like, it doesn’t come off that way always and so that’s the only thing I really worry about.”
