Paul Skenes is a man of many talents on and off the diamond.
The 22-year-old starter has been the talk of the majors this season and that’ll continue on Tuesday when he starts the MLB All-Star Game for the National League. But he’s receiving plenty of talk elsewhere, including on the red carpet of the 2024 ESPY Awards this past Thursday night.
LSU gymnast and NCAA National Champion Livvy Dunne attended the ESPYs on Thursday. As she walked the red carpet, ESPN caught up with her to ask her about her boyfriend’s hidden talents. Dunne revealed that Skenes is gifted in the kitchen.
“Paul’s hidden talent,” Dunne responded in the interview on ESPNW’s Instagram page. “He’s a chef. He’s a very good cook.”
She also added that the Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher is goofy as well, despite how he acts in interviews.

Skenes has done everything right on the mound this season through the first 11 starts of his career for the Pirates. Over 66 1/3 innings, Pittsburgh’s phenom has a 1.90 ERA to go along with 89 strikeouts, a 34.9% strikeout rate, 0.92 WHIP, and a 2.58 FIP.
As mentioned previously, the next chance to catch the righty on the bump will be the MLB All-Star Game on July 16th. The game takes place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, airing at 8 p.m. EST live on FOX.
